Headed up Mt Wonalancet, early in the am we were able to bareboot to the summit. Very little post holing if you picked your steps. On the summit it becomes hard to find the trail due to prints everywhere.
No blazes could be found. After the summit put on snow shoes due to deep waist deep snow and head to short cut and Hibbard but trail finding was difficult with the number of blow downs.
Head back down the short cut to Mt Wonalancet trail. No one has been on this trail in some time. Deep snow, slick slopes for snowshoes. After the steep section on Mt Wonalancet we were able to bare boot to car.
Water is starting to flow down the trail, makes for wet boots.
A great day, warm weather. The bottom half of this trail will be bare if the warm weather continues.
Ran into 3 guys coming down after camping near the summit, and another couple who could not find the summit.
