Mt. Willard: first quarter mile of the Mt. Willard trail badly flooded (alluvial fan) after Friday night's rain - some spots 6-8 inches deep. Highland Center staff cannot remember this type of flooding before hurricane Irene.
Mt. Pemigewasset: about a quarter of a mile past the I-93S overpass the trail more resembles a babbling brook than a path (think Rocky Branch). A thick blanket of leaves and faded blazes make navigating tricky. Footing was good and summit dry.
Most likely both trails are drying out by now. We weren't expecting that much wet.
