Mudslides in the Adirondacks

If you are headed there this weekend, keep in mind that a large section of the ADK Northway is closed after mudslides and washouts, and there have been a bunch of other road closings. News story

Who knows, maybe there will be a fresh slide or two to explore in the mtns.

There is a detour using Route 9 (Exit 23 to Exit 25).

Rte. 9N between Bolton Landing and Hague is closed because of a washout. This would affect the Tongue Mountain trailheads.

If you don't know the area well they have escorts to show you the way if you get off at the rest stop before exit 19. I was heading home to Lake George from Albany and there are signs.

Rte. 9N has been reopened between Hague and Bolton Landing.
