I took the Fishin' Jimmy to ridge trail. Trail was hardpacked if you stayed in the center, if not watch out! The steep sections were not too icy, but I put on snowshoes just before them for traction and to not posthole. In fact because or the rampant postholing by others parts of the trail were in bad shape Especially the ridge trail leading to N Kinsman and between the two peaks. Lovely day with lots of sunshine, but gusty winds, spent most of the day in a t-shirt and had a lovely 3 hour visit on North Kinsman. I had planned to return via Mt. Kinsman trail to Easton but instead chose to return the same way after a lovely late lunch on the pond as the sun disappeared behind the cliffs of North Kinsman.
