This Hike was in memorial of the victims and families of the 9-11 attacks. We started or hike at Franconia campground were we met the team going to S Kinsman quite by accident. We got to lonesome lake hut in good time where we found there was a large group going to N Kinsman also with a flag, oh well the more the merrier I guess. we started up fishing jimmy trail which was very wet and slick in alot of places the stairs on the side of the rocks were really cool 
we made the summit by 11:30. the second team had there flag set up just off the summit so we set up our flag on the out look after taking group pictures for the other crew. What an awesome day to be on a summit. With binoculars we could make out the flags on several of the summits along the opposite ridge. We had gliders fly at no more than fifty or sixty feet over our heads. The sun was shining an d the company although numerous was very nice. The hike down was just as good as the hike up and as an added bonus there is a stream right next to the parking lot just perfect for cooling off hot hiking feet. Just a wonderful day to be in the peaks. Boots
