July 3, 2008. Used Pine Bend Brook to gain access to both peaks. Hobblebush is definitely the dominant lifeform on this trail. Many blowdowns, but are either navigable or path has already been made around them. Quite muddy but nothing too serious, brook climbs are quite wet and slick. Apply bug dope before starting. They come after you right from the trailhead. Lots of moose poop where Scaur Trail joins.
