Just an update from Silverfox's post of yesterday which was right on. Most everything except for the ridge in a few sections is now packed and consolidated. I wore micro-spikes from the loop jct. and back the whole way with only a couple of postholes when I got too close to the edge of the trail. I followed a bare booter in front of me around the entire loop. He didn't have any problems either. Only one section on the ridge where snowshoes would be better, but not long enough to go through the trouble of switching. Some butt sliding on the south cone has made it fairly slick. Crampons here would be a better bet descending. Just a dusting of new snow over night.
