Trip up from Layfette Campground to the Kinsmans.
About 6-9" powder snow from Wednesday's storm ontop of a slick surface. Trail is now packed solid and snowshoes not necessary. Parts of Fishing Jimmy trail extremely slick and may require additional traction (micro-spikes, crampons). Higher elevations slightly more snow, but again packed solid from today's traffic. A number of people ascended the Kinsman trail on the west side and that should be packed solid as well.
