Trail packed solid all the way, except for some deep drifting around the lake. One walk under blowdown. Bare booted to hut then switched to spikes for Fishin Jimmy (Crampons would have been better). At jct. of Kinsman Ridge and Fishin Jimmy I switched to crampons and left them on the rest of the day. Traction needed on the Fishin Jimmy steeps. Six other people on the trail today. Some wearing snowshoes and others crampons. Very windy today but lots of sun. Nice taking with Corey and Debbie on the trail today. I made a posting Jan. 16th about the parking area at the Lafayette campgrounds. Well someone was stuck this morning in the same spot that I got stuck in last week.
