Lonesome Lake Trail to the Hut, Fishin Jimmy to Kinsman Ridge Trail over N Kinsman to S Kinsman and reverse on the descent. The LLT is one of the most used trails but in great shape. FJ is much maligned but really a nice hike thru interesting terrain, especially the mossy col before the last push up to KRT. KRT is in good shape. This hike was a pleasant surprise to me and totally unexpected. The view from LL Hut towards the Franconia Ridge is super. What a great spot! A beautiful little gem is Kinsman Pond and its new shelter. We had no views from S Kinsman due to a passing cloud but got views on the way up and down. Took a refreshing dip in Lonesome Lake on the descent. Great day!! 7h40m total with at least 1 1/2hrs of downtime.
