Date of Hike: 7/4/2008
Trails: Percy Peaks, Cohos, S Percy Herd Path
Conditions: Trails in reasonable shape considering the storms and rains. Care must be taken after passing the big boulder as rocks and roots are wet and slippery. Ledges on top dry. Brook crossing OK. Bugs moderate.
Special Equipment Required: Poles help with the slippery roots and rocks. Sunscreen, I forgot mine and I'm regretting it this morning.
Comments: Clouds lifted to give us spectacular views from both peaks. We chose not to make the loop to avoid walking on the forest road. The spur to South is beautiful and reminded me of the hiking in BC (mossy vegetation). Worth the 100 mile roundtrip to get there.
