Bed wuz still reeeaaall inviting, sooo...started up Nancy Pond trail @ 9:44am

Again, about 6" of slightly crusty snow, with Beautiful Blue Skies :p

Trail broken out by quite a few barebooters, again used my small snowshoes and poles. All the stream crossings were no problem and no blowdowns :D

Feelin pretty good, enjoying the quiet woods. Falls @ bottom of steep switchbacks was solid ice and pretty neat :) Watch your step here and you'll be fine. Once to the "tableland" it was reeeaaallly pretty!!! Caught 1st look @ Nancy off to my right, lookin a bit frosty up above :p

Arriving @ the end of Norcross Pond I was delighted to see the tracks continue off to the right...up Nancy :) For those that haven't been here(my 1st time here), when you see a no camping sign in front of you turn sharp right(about 25' before the sign). Then in about 200' you come to a sign talkin about this being an unmaintained trail

Start out by gently anglin up to the left. You come real close to the slide(I'd thought it was near the top) but just stay to the right of it. If you get on the slide...go to your right at the top for the non-trail ;)

It does get pretty steep but quite a lot of small close trees to help. Soon it starts to flatten out and soon the yellow canister is there and just beyond OUTSTANDING VFTT!!! Wow :p Presidential range very majestically dressed in white, Wow again!

Changed from the waist up and spent half hour takin it all in!

Signin in, I noticed Bruce & Frank were here yesterday...THANKS GUYS!!! Had wondered quite a bit about findin the way!

Had taken 3 hours and 15 minutes to cover the 4.8 miles and approx 3000 vertical feet. Felt nice to have my 1st Winter NEHH of the season...now @ 70 solo :)

This is one Beautiful Spot!!!

Excellent TR! Mt Nancy has one of the most under-rated views in the White Mountains (especially in winter). As the SNL Church Lady used to say, "Isn't that special" :D
