Trail Conditions: Nancy Pond Trail in good shape. Bog bridges are falling apart, broken, or unstable. Requires some good balancing skills. Unofficial Trail from Norcross Pond to Nancy in good shape. Abandoned trail from Nancy Pond Trail to Bemis has blowdowns as expected but not trail obscuring ones. some a PITA to crawl through. Trail is easy to follow. From Bemis firetower to true summit to the west is a thick bushwhack.

Special Equipment Required: Bug spray around the ponds. Maybe long pants for Bemis Meadow to avoid scratches on lower legs. Full bushwhacking gear (eye protection, non snagging clothes, long sleeves and pants) if going to true summit of Bemis.

Comments: Considered doing a bushwhack from Nancy to Bemis but decided to do the extra mileage and elevation gain by staying to the trails. Did the bushwhack from Firetower on Bemis to the West knob, which is considered the true summit. Roughly 14-15 miles and 5000 feet of elevation gain in 8:40 completed by AndyF, AndrewB, and Samantha S.
