Lower parts are dry and snow free. Water is high and stream crossings are slippery and difficult. Above Lucy mill we found more snow and after the bottom of the cascades trail is almost all deep snow. We made the top of the cascades but bottomless postholes turned us around. Snowshoes would help beyond here but we didn't have ours.
