Need Input On Guides 0r Classes

I will be solo-staying up in Lk Placid Feb 15-19th and plan on doing some hiking/snowshoeing, but thought it would be fun to do some group activity one day. I was looking into the classes EMS teaches such as "basic ice climbing" & "intro to mountaineering". I am sure there's other companies up there that offer similar classes. Can anyone give me any feedback on the EMS classes or offer up other recommended services? Or, if you know of a day activity during that time that would be fun also. Thanks for your help.

You can check out Adirondack Rock and River - I believe they do ice climbing classes. I have no experience with them.

Also look at NEIce.com for ideas.
