Check out the LEED certification link in TDawg's prior post. There is a community Art Organization near me that is Gold LEED Certified. The building is pretty cool! The roof if planted with a mat of vegetation, among other things.

I don't have a problem with it in principle. I'd like to see it also have a set-up like the Highland Center where you could rent equipment. Also, all "green eyes" will be watching to see how environmentally conscience the construction will be.

I like that idea as well but I don't want to see Highland Center type prices.

Personally I think its a great idea, what a great location for a hotel. As far as the SUV's being part of a problem, really Im not much a believer in that theroy at all, cars are cars, there are millions out there and people drive and drive, yet still try and be proponents of "green" unless you stop driving altogether, just let it go its not practical as an augument.
