I'm one of the two caretakers at Zealand Falls Hut in the WMNF this winter. I had a group of VFTT hikers visit a couple of weeks ago, so I thought that some of you might be interested in the web log I'm keeping to chronicle the season:

It's fairly new, so there aren't many posts. But I'll update it weekly on my days off, and I hope it might entertain some of you.

Good luck

Good luck there, calling your boss a bluebood and his neighbor a Masshole.
That looks like a great place to spend the winter and get paid for it. I look forward to reading more posts.

"Stumpy" has been known to raid packs left on the porch of Shapleigh house by careless hikers (rumor has it he is found of Swiss-Miss chocolate mix...). Some "raidees" who consider the Highland Center a wilderness experience have been known to blame Stumpy's antics on "giant marauding bears." :D

That's a great idea! I look forward to reading these, and I'll bet you'll enjoy looking back on them in the future.

Zealand in the winter ... sigh ... I'm definitely jealous!

Yes, but be careful what you say out loud at Zealand this winter, especially if you happen to reside in Massachusetts.
