Just in case you weren't already aware, I want to let you all know that the online reservations begin today for NH State Park campgrounds. (nhstateparks.org).

Also, I've been hearing excellent things about Umbagog Lake. I've never been, and a ton of the remote camping sites you have to canoe/kayak to are still available for weekends throughout the year.

Does anyone have a favorite remote site or will recommend a site for this campground?

here's the link to the sites:

THANKS!

I'd go for one of the campsites in a cove on the Maine border, if you want the most solitude. It makes a nice 2-day trip down the Magalloway, into the lake to camp, and then out the Androscoggin. There is some traffic on the rivers, though, so if you choose to paddle up the lake instead you may find a bit more room to get off by yourself without leapfrogging with another group all day.

R28 and R29 are both outstanding as well as Black Island(r30) a little further to the south.

Umsaskis is right about the Magalloway trip. Best way is spot a car at the Errol Dam,have Northern Waters shuttle your kayaks to Wilson Mills and put in there.
