In keeping with the numbering, this is the 13th quiz. Again, the subjects are photographs. These are all in NH, and all within the traditional confines of the WMNF. Not all are 4Ks, but most were taken while peak bagging. There are a mix of easy, hard, summits, cairns, waterfalls, etc.

RULE: Only one guess, right or wrong, per person per 24-hour period!

MAYBE the usual quick-draw posters can hold off for a short while?

It is encouraged that if you know several then you should only answer the one you judge to be hardest. However you can say "oh I know #1,2,6,8 etc etc blah blah" Just leave them for others.

1) Name this puddle. This one is a 'gimme':

2) What is this? (Where was I standing?)

3) What peak is this?

4) Rising from the undercast we have... ?

5) Where is this ladder?

6) Name that peak?

7) What trail am I? (and where?)

8) I'm standing on a summit... which one?

9) A popular destination this winter... what is it?

10) Where was I standing when I took this photo?

Enjoy,
Tim

# 2 is the NE Cannonball while looking at it from Lonesome Lake.

We will have to wait until tomorrow to post the answers for several others we know if they are not guessed.

Thanks for the fun!

#5 I think is the ladder on Twinway heading to Zealand

2) NE Cannonball from Lonesome Lake
4) Liberty, from Little Haystack (one of my favorite photos)
6) Lincoln

#5 is not the ladder on Twinway heading to Zealand.

Glad you are enjoying them. I've made extensive use of other people's sites and their photos and it was always neat to see the actual feature in person, when I got there.

#5 is the ladder on the Webster Cliff trail between the summit of Pierce and Mitzpah Springs Hut.

pretty sure I know #1, 3, and 9. 7 and 8 both look very familar too.

Okay,

Steve beat me to #5 while I was trying to figure out where that marker was from (I'm usually pretty good at taking shots of the markers myself, but I don't seem to have this one, at least not that I can find). So, I'll take the cheap one instead.

#1 is the Gem Pool just before the steep stuff on the Ammonusic Ravine Trail

Seems like I saw that marker & pipe (#8) this year but didn't take a photo. Pierce?

A correction: #2 is the southern shoulder of Cannon, not the NE Cannonball. You can see it more clearly in this photo which shows Coppermine col at center with the NE Cannonball at left and Cannon at right. Here's what the NE and Middle Cannonballs look like from outlet at Lonesome Lake.

#10 is the view southeast from Isolation

#8 is not Pierce. (edit: I guess it is Pierce after all. doh!)

7) KRT (descending from Cannon)
8) Pierce (indeed)
10) Isolation looking SE

I do believe Evilhanz is right in that #2 is the shoulkder of Cannon, although most people do call it the NE Cannonball. Here is the "reverse view":

I like the 24 hour 1 guess limit....it took like 4 hours for all 10 photos to be identified. :) You have to love how much knowledge there is on this site. :)

Oh, my bad, I read wrong....but I know what #3 and #9 are so they are really all done. :p

I'm sure they're not a secret to many people. They weren't the ones I though most difficult. I thought Isolation looking towards Carrigain was the trickiest one.

Tim

p.s. You can make a guess if you want, Darren, you haven't made one yet.
