Somehow the original thread got a little sidetracked, maybe bushwacked. . . .:D

But, I am glad you asked this. . . I'm working on a list I got from the web at

http://www.nhmountainhiking.com/hike/lists/nh100.html

So I am going to ask Keith for an updated copy. I've probably been wacking in all the wrong places. Am I allowed to say that on line???? Does anyone know about the above website?

I know of at least two different "conceptual" NH100 lists ... the Y-Alpine is trailed peaks only, and the others include bushwhacks. Keith's was the one mentioned to me at the 4K dinner, I think, as the "new" list.

Personally, I'd like to hit all the peaks on both lists with ya! :)

The "new" list was given to me by Gene D. back in the early 80's ;)

KK, lets do it.

Starting as soon as we get back from Maine and I'm officially listless.

Hi Sabrina !

I still have 25 peaks to do on the NHHH list.

You are more than welcome to join me when I go, I'll appreciate the company since I'm on my own for all of those. I'l let you know when I go :)

I have six remaining for the wNH105H list (two Huntington's, two Hitchcock's, Dartmouth, and Bemis), but I have heard a rumor that one of the two Huntington's and one of the two Hitchcock's are getting dropped from the "new" new list. In any case, I would welcome company on the above six beginning December 22nd 2009. :) The NHHH is really a fun list, IF you like bushwhacking; but I have found some of the wNHHH to be tough when trying to break trail alone. I think that many of the bushwhack wNHHH would be difficult, although not impossible, to ski.

I was working on the list several years ago, but the person I hiked with finished the list. After a few solo bushwhacks up in the fir and spruce thickets that inevitably seem to cover the summits of the northern peaks, I figured I would wait until some other willing souls (aka victims) were in the mood for company.

As for bagging them in the winter with DR D, I think I will wait until there is a crust formed on the snow before hitting them this year.

There was a NH 100 list including bushwhacks as early as 1970 when I climbed Kancamagus with some people who knew about it.

The Y-list is bogus and omits several trailed 3k (even a NE100!) and includes some that are not

In need of some updating.."YES"! Still a very nice list though for people who donot bushwack.
I'm not averse to whacks, but I would be interested in the New England 3Ks that are on trail vs off trail. It helps when planning to know what you're getting into.

I talked to Eric at the 4K dinner; I believe he has updated this list, which is the one I was trying to think of earlier.
