Ah, computers... I know I had collected a lot of infos on this loop and saved it in a Word document. Now that I'm ready to climb them, I can't find it  It's not that bad, I remember a few of them, but if anyone can send me any hint (herdpaths, clues for an easy bushwack, clockwise or counterclockwise, reports, etc.), it would be appreciated! Can be via private email or on this thread, your choice.

And this time, I'll burn them on a cd... And hope not to lose it :D

BTW, I'm thinking about Thursday, if anyone's interested to join me.

Consider using West Mill Brook. I know Walker Brook looks like the most direct approach, but the West Mill approach offers advantages which offset it's somewhat "out of the way" location. You can easily and legally drive to a parking spot about 1/4 mile W of I 87, and then the trail into the interior is obvious and roadlike for a couple miles. Walker Brook requires parking well W of I 87, followed by wading of the Schroon River, and then essentially no herd path once under I-87 (at least as of a couple years ago there was no path).

When I climbed Camel's Hump I used West Mill, and it was extremely easy. On that jaunt, I continued almost to Niagara easily over the ridge, so I'd recommend that approach.

If using West Mill, make sure you find the trail junction, where the old road swings SW, and a path also continues NW along the main part of West Mill Brook for a ways. If you choose that way, I can give you some info.

Hey Meo,

I've been wanting to do that exact loop for a while. And I will be in that neighborhood this thursday, only I'm heading with a small troupe up Hoffman. If you reschedule for later let me know! And if you want to do Hoffman with us and do this loop next, well let me know about that too!
