Trail Conditions: A few groups combined to pack down the trail going up Elk Pass and then down over Dial. There is a bushwack trail packed down from the col bewteen Dial and Bear Den that will save you 500' of climbing.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes were essential, Crampons were not used at all. Don't know the conditions since it has warmed up but the trail was all packed snow and no ice when we were there.
