Trail Conditions: Generally good.
Starting at Noonmark road (0.3 mi from Hikers' parking lot) trail is leafy and muddy in some spots but no problem. Beginning at the second ladder there were patches of snow and ice. Warm weather is causing snow/ice bridges to collapse, so caution required to pick a safe path. No problem with snow or ice near summit. Descent to valley has no snow or ice. There's a bit of blow-down, but no blockage. Valley path back towards Round Mtn branch is very wet with spring meltwater and runoff.
Branch to Round Mtn summit had very similar conditions to Noonmark. Again, only cautious spots were navigating melting snow/ice bridges. Very good conditions near summit. Eastern path back to trailhead has some risky snow/ice bridges in the shaded portions of the valley. The north-eastern valley trail (i.e. back to the original Round Mtn branch) is wet but very easy hike back to the trailhead.

Special Equipment Required: Given the mud and icy snow recommend deep-tread waterproof hiking boots as a minimum. We used Yaktrax on the snow and ice bridges, which helped. Hiking stick or poles recommended for descent.

Comments: No bugs encountered.
