Heavy, heavy snow all around. Broke up through the steep bit in waist deep snow on top of ice. Had to bushwhack a the last half mile to Scaur Ridge as all blazes or traces of trail are buried there. With great effort I made it to the middle peak and back out. Apparently someone took it upon themselves to break out the North Slide as well. Sabbaday Brook appeared untouched. Pine Bend should be well packed, at least to the ridge, and the trench that was dug up the side of the mountain should be visible for some time.
