Date of Hike: April 25, 2013
Trail Conditions: Very little snow first 1/4 mile and then it hits you. Muddy in some locations. High water crossings, had to go off-trail a few times to find easier crossings. A lot of post holes, some VERY deep. The snow is very soft, still 2-3' deep in many locations. Snow bridges are breaking, be very careful!
Special Equipment Required: We microspiked it the entire way but were wishing we had our snowshoes for the ridge trail between South and North.
Comments: A nice day, weather was great. Any day in the woods in better than being at work but the soft snow made the hike like walking on beach sand for 10 miles. Not enjoyable for a fat out of shape hiker like me.
