date: 11/4/13
trails: bushwhack
conditions: after hiking west tucker i drove about a mile back to the T intersection where 4 mile brook road continues left (this point is roughly 13.6 miles in from rt. 26) and took the spur to the right (would be left if coming in from 26) a few tenths to its end at on old log landing. from the landing i briefly followed an old skid road before taking a bearing directly at the summit. the woods were open all the way, but especially so on the lower slopes which were wet in spots around numerous small brooks. overall pretty great going.
equipment: blaze orange.
comments: a really beautiful hike up through open woods. some great views back to tucker and beyond.
