We hiked North Kinsman on 12/31 to watch the last sunset of the year. It was cloudy so we did not get to see the sunset, but the hiking was good! We took the Kinsman Ridge trail from 116. The trail was well packed all the way up to the summit. We wore snowshoes on the way up and microspikes on the way down. It probably would have been possible to leave the snowshoes in the car.
