Road walk uneventful,soft on return, 8Pm. River crossings O.K. for now. Trail was mostly hardpacked but I used shoes on both up and down. Trail was easy to follow except near summit where you really needed to pay attention. Having previously done this route in the winter was a big plus as the trip would be best described as brutally beautiful. Views were Ethereal with the cone of Garfield a sling shot away.
