North Twin, South Twin via North Twin Trail
Date of Hike: Sunday, August 24, 2008
Trail Conditions: Dry trail, mud
Special Equipment Required:
Comments:
Mostly dry trail to the first water crossing. First water crossing required getting feet wet. Second and third water crossings doable dry. Followed the herd path on the way down to bypass the lower two - a few blowdowns and a few muddy sections.
A little bit muddy from the third water crossing to the top (6th I think?) water crossing.
As noted in early reports, spruce impeding upon trail big time starting at the scenic rock/ledge area - it's hard to tell where the trail goes, as it's only like a 6" wide opening.
Trail between summits mostly dry and blowdown free.
