That's good news. That's a beautiful tract of land that they're preserving.

And on July 1st, NH passed a law that severely restricts the clearing of brush and trees from riverside property in Coos County (I'm not sure if this new law is statewide or not - maybe someone could clarify). Good news for conservationists, maybe not so good for the people who own waterfront property.

Essentially the state has imposed a minimum standard for shoreline protection all over the state ( and incidentally made all existing non conforming structures more valuable).

The lalw applies all over the state but the local controls in place on remote northern ponds tended to be non existent and not enforced. This puts the state in charge. Maine die a similiar law many years ago.
 
That's nice to see. NH is doing a nice job with preservation. 1.5 million acres and counting. -Mattl
