Nice day, great weather for a walk in the woods!
From FR304A, followed the roughly N-S (give or take 19 degrees) line described elsewhere in the archives (specifically D&D's post 2-16-12).
From the the clear cut followed a bearing uphill, crossing ample evidence of human passage, until the start of the large granite features. From there, swung right (West) and worked around them, with occasional spruce swimming, working uphill. Ran into the herd path running to the can. Love it when the map and the mountain play nice!!!

Going was mostly very dry, even the bugs played nice.

Followed the herd path back down a bit, missed my turn for how I came up, got a look at the terrain it went down, and immediately came to understand the concern with the path. Terrible route choice, with extensive potential for environmental damage. Cut back out to the west and resumed a bearing path to the truck. Can't wait to swim up this route in the winter!!!

As a side note, I wish I had made it here a few weeks earlier during raspberry season, to get a bigger payout from all that swimming in prickers!!!
