I just bought a BD Hilight anyway so I'll be living on ramen noodles for a bit.
Cool, got that tent earlier this spring and took it to Washington. It's very light and compact - the only part I didn't enjoy was having to seam seal the whole thing myself when I got it.
Enjoy!

:D I was already warned beforehand that the tent isn't seam sealed from the factory and comes with some SilNET... I have it setup in my gear room but haven't yet worked on it... I also adopted two kittens last night so my time was spent getting them out of the carrier.

Has anybody used this for a basic outdoors camera:

Since I'm a kayaker, the waterproof thing sounds great as well as the winter thing. Uses a Li-Ion battery pack and not AAs though... however, looks interesting on paper...

If it uses the same Li-Ion battery pack as my C5060-WZ, don't worry about having it run out of juice during the weekend. I can get 2 - 3 weekend trips out of a single charge.

Just when I start to ponder a new camera again... I took a nail file pointy tip thing to the zoom ring on my G3.. just trying to see if I can shave just a little bit of material off the zoom ring... About 15 minutes of shaving, I think I might of took off just enough material to free the shutter button.... Cause I took some sample photos of my kittens just to check it out and the button is not sticking anymore. I have to see if this holds up.

I've checked the SD800 IS and A570 IS thread here and saw the reviews and both have the same design as the G3, the shutter button inside the zoom ring and although I'm sure many of you have this and do not have this problem, I can't get myself to buy this when I had this problem with my G3.

However, I'm still looking at a new camera, the IS and compact size of the SD800 IS is very enticing and if I can get the G3 to work reliably (other than the shutter button, the camera is working perfectly, it's just really big), I could sell it on the used market and buy a new one.
