Date of Hike: 11/6/11
Trail Conditions: Clear and frozen to about two-thirds of the way up, then very slick and icy to the top.
Special Equipment Required: I made it up bare-booted, but microspikes would have made life a LOT easier.
Comments: I was surprised at how bare the ground was on the lower part of the trail, considering the snow in southern New Hampshire, but just as happy to not have much. The Tripoli Road was clear until about fifty feet before the parking lot, then totally covered in ugly ice/snow. The slab rock on the upper portion of the trail was covered in very slick ice-- wicked slow going without traction. Trip report coming soon
