This may be moot if they close Tripoli Road soon. There was quite a bit of ice covering the trail. It started about 1 mile up. Microspikes worked just fine for most of it, though it grew more challenging higher up. The trip over to East peak was much easier than the trail up to the main peak. In particular, the series of switchbacks were thickly coated with ice. I used an old pair of strap on crampons for the descent down the first two miles, making for more security underfoot. Nice views yesterday.
