Another gorgeous fall day!

Decided to attempt going up the Osseo Trail to Flume (one of my favorite hikes) and then continuing to Liberty. This adds 1.1 miles each way, and 1,000 feet for the round trip. Felt fine on Flume so continued. Still felt good on Liberty, and thought of going down to the Liberty Spring junction just to complete Friday's trip. But I realized that I already had 6.7 miles to get back to the trailhead, plus 450 feet of climbing up the Flume, so I just returned.

On my way up the Flume, just a bit below the junction with the Flume Slide Trail, I met a group of three hikers. We said Hi, made some comments about the wonderful weather, and continued. Then one of them asked: "Are you Mohamed?".

Turns out they were Post'r Boy, Michelle and MJ. I had hiked with Michelle up Madison and Adams a few years ago, and she still recognized me!

Nice to see you again! What a beauty of a day it was!

We got a kick out of your comment..........."Post'r boy, what are you doing here?! There's nothing to whack!!" The funny thing is...........he ALWAYS finds something! At 8am, we had no plans to hike Flume and look where we ended up!

I had an afterthought that we could have moved your car to the Liberty Springs Trailhead and saved you the backtracking! (and us the short roadwalk too!) Oh well, maybe next time!!
