I don't think there is one online, but the Lakes Region Conservation Trust has a small map for sale. Check out their website. The store at Castle in the Clouds might have some, if it is open. If you don't find one, there is a trailhead on 171 next to the summer entrance to the castle. There is a map on a kiosk there.
Anyway, the Mount Shaw trail starts on 171 across from Sodom Road, a little further south from the castle entrance.
p.s.- after this rain, check out the short Brook Path up at CITC.

Was wondering if there was an online map of the Ossipee Range, or more specifically, the trails up Mt Shaw. I'm planning a hike up there this weekend.

Although there is no map, the trail description in the AMC Southern New Hampshire Trail Guide is quite good. (Don't have it? Shame on you! ;) Get a copy today!)

See also My report.

Have fun. It's a nice trail and a lovely mountain. Be sure to take the side trail to Black Snout (Note - this is not the Black Snout shown on the topo map). Beautiful views of Winnapasaukee and the Belknap Range.

Ha, don't shame me so fast! :) I have the guide, I'd just like the visual guide of the map as well. Thanks for the link to your trip report. Hopefully it is a bit clearer this Saturday than what is forecasted....

Good, glad you have it. That and the Vermont Dayhikers Guide are great but relatively under appreciated books.

It certainly is a great fair weather hike. You'll see in my pictures we had sun and foliage! Enjoy.

Even with the detour from the Shaw summit to Black Snout, you'll do still be doing mainly an up-and-back on the same trails, if you stick to the ones described in the AMC So. NH Guide and shown on the LRCT map. Two other trails that are blazed but not publicized allow you instead to do an excellent loop, starting at Black Snout and ending a little above the Shaw Trail parking area. You can read about them here.

(Both that Guide and the LRCT map are excellent, in general, I should add.)

If you are going up the Mt. Shaw trail pay close attention to the blazing just above the campsites by the stream. Once you are above that you will not be challenged as it is the only trail there until you hit the carriage trail complex. The carriage trails are wide, like logging roads, and a great stroll, especially with the changing foliage.
There was a trail map at the trailhead on Rte 171 north of where you go up Mt Shaw trail, near the entrance to Castle In The Clouds. The trails, for the most part, are shown in the NH Delorme atlas.
Enjoy the area, the last trip I did up there I had a close encounter with a young black bear that spooked both participants without any lasting effect :)

Its probably waaaaay too late to get one on short notice, but Carole has offered copies of the map she has from the LRCT. You can also get one for the Belknap range. Could be use for some future time perhaps? Just drop her a PM and I am sure she can get things set up for ya.

Slight change in plans! Morgan and Percival it is. I know the trails, and its less drive time. I'll save Shaw for a sunnier day. I've don'e Morgan and Percival before, so I know what it looks like on a nice day, and a completely crappy day.
