went up via Wilderness, Black Pond bushwack, Lincoln Woods, Brutus Bushwack, down the same.
All trails are well packed out, even to the "real summit". Snowshoes are helpful, as the snowpack is less than fully consolidated. On the black Pond bushwack, where the track splits, go left. It avoids the swampy area, and puts you out higher on Lincoln Woods trail.
Snowshoes with really good traction are necessary right now. The ascent of Owl's Head is STEEP, and a couple of people in our group struggled to get enough traction with their 'shoes.
The crossing of Lincoln Brook is a little sketchy.....I would not cross where the trail does, as the ice is very unstable. You may have to look up and down the river to find a suitable place to cross.
