Trails: Linclon Woods Tr, Black Pond Tr, BP whack, Lincoln Brook Tr, Owl's Head Path, Anglers Path whack, Franconia Falls Tr
Special Equipment: Water Filter
Comments: Great day Saturday. The skies cleared just after 8am as we got on the trail. Headed to Black Pond and followed 340 degrees to the big bend to the north on Lincoln Brook Tr. USGS Hydrograph showed the water for the East Branch of the Pemi to be at 566 cfs at 4:30 am on Saturday and 513 fs at 10:30pm. We were able to rock hop both Liberty and the upper crossing of Lincoln Brook. Others that had followed the trail in had to take off their boots to cross the lower crossing and Franconia Brook. The slide was wet on the left side but traction was good all around. Trace amounts of snow on the ridge as expected and we had left our micros in the car. Angler's Path whack to Franconia Falls was easy to follow. No compass needed. Only saw 6 others, 3 of them were bikers on the LWT, and 1 dog.
