Owl's head info??

I want to do Owl's head as a winter climb. Has anyone hiked it recently? How are the brook crossings? Lincoln area valley camping or 13 Falls campsite. We would like to do it as an overnight. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I did it with a friend yesterday ( Feb. 22) with the bushwhack from Black Pond - the 2 river crossings after that were fine, there was one small opening that was easily avoided. We stayed to the left of the slide in the woods for the lower part, and briefly used part of the upper slide on the way up, but the snow conditions seemed a bit sketchy so we stayed in the woods for the descent. There were signs of a tentsite near the base of the slide.

If you want to make it more interesting, Owl's Head is XC-BC skiable via the NNW ridge. Leave the trail just south of the height of land and follow the ridge. It was fairly open 20 years ago--haven't been there recently.
