Date of Hike:6/30 till 7/2
Trail Conditions: Started out on the pemi-loop at Lincoln Woods. Travel up the Franconia Brook trail to Lincoln Brook trail. Water crossing were above knees. Used sandals to wade accross the Lincoln Brook crossings. At the double Carons we went up the Owls head slide to the summit. Great view of the Franconia Mountain Range on the way up Owls Head. Lincoln Brook trail above the Owls head summit was difficult to follow the 3 plus miles. A good bit of the trail on the flat section on the north side of owls head was flooded. The trail was a running brook. Mud was 18'' deep in some sections above the boots. Stayed at 13 falls. Next day went Twin Brook to Galehead summit. Climbed up over south twin to reach Guyot tentside. Wednesday the weather was perfect. Traversed the Bondcliff trail to West Bond, Bond and Bondcliff. The alpine views became my favorite part of the Whites
Comments: The SAT crew Carl, Brent and Jeff completed #48 with Bondcliff. Karin 27 of 48. Ingrid 31 of 48.
