Trail Conditions: Lots of thick black mud on parts of each trail. Other wet and muddy spots as well. Many blowdowns scattered about the place some to go under and many to step across. Water crossings were doable and on the biggest one we had two rock hoppers and one wader.
Equipment needed: Poles for the water crossings and a towel if you were a wader!
Comments: A good day to do this long jaunt. Two largish groups, one from the Fitness Edge with a finisher of the 48 on Owl's Head. Another smaller group, two pairs and one single were all we saw today. Many pesky, and biting, little black midges on the slide. We hit all the summits, old and new today. Fun day out with good company in Cymbidium and Fran.
