Trail Conditions: Lincoln Woods Tr mostly dry, Franconia Brk Tr some mud, most can be avoided but not all, Lincoln Brk Tr muddy sections, Owlshead slide dry, slippery on wet rocks, and wet leaves above.
Stream crossings- except for Franconia Brk and the first crossing of Lincoln Brk, all were rock hoppable. A number of folks rock hopped those as well, but I was more comfortable switching to sandals and wading across about calf deep at the worst.
Special Equipment Required: Poles for the stream crossings and helpful coming down the slide.
Comments: Beautiful day in the forest. Not very many people out beyond the Franconia Brk bridge. On the return, the last 3 miles in were a leaf-peeper circus, as was the parking lot. Traffic back through Lincoln was backed up all the way to Lincoln Woods and beyond- stop and go, mostly stop.
