Looking for a solid (i.e. dependable, enthusiastic, safe, fun) partner/s primarily for ice climbing but other mountaineering adventures as well. I have other partners but they have other obligations so I am often left looking. Plus it’s always good to have more contacts.
I like being in the mountains and alpine climbing which is why I am posting this here and not on other, more relevant, discussion boards (neice.com, etc). I find folks here come from a similar background as myself – hiking, then got into technical climbing, and generally have good fitness and similar goals.
This will be my third ice season. Started leading last year (ne3) and am looking to continue progressing with a partner. I have a couple of rock seasons under my belt – lead 5.6 or so.
I love climbing in the ravines of mt Washington when I can get up there. I have never climbed in the Daks but am very interested. Ice climb a lot in Smugglers Notch VT which is one of my favorite spots. I live in western, MA.
