Bare-booted to first crossing just beyond Wiggins Trail jct, with minimal post-holing when I lost sight of hard-packed track (recent rain and warming is obliterating hard-packed track, but positive relief of the "rails" should begin to occur soon). Used snowshoes rest of the way to top and all the way out. Lost the trail in a few places above the Rollins Path jct, but the bushwhacking was reasonably casual. Had planned to traverse Rollins Path to Whiteface, but the hour was late and the hard-packed track hard to find. Above 3000 ft, many blue blazes near boot level, if exposed at all. A little wet snow clinging to spruce/fir branches up high got me soaked, but a beautiful afternoon hike, with the sun popping out from time to time and temperatures above freezing.
