Yes, Winter peak baggers, that time has already come to start thinking about the 2007/2008 Winter season!

I'll be putting together another trip to Peggy O' next winter. We're leaving Monday morning 3/10/8 and hiking in to the Cabin, a fairly flat 3.5 miles. We're going to stay 3 nights, and hike out Thursday, 3/13/8. In between we'll be hiking to such places, as Marcy, Haystack, Basin, Saddleback, Big Slide, Yard, Gothics, Wolf Jaws, Armstrong, and other nearby peaks.

I know it seems a long way off, but in order to secure a reservation, I had to plunk down a large sum of money and reserve way in advance. So, if you want in, post that you are interested. The reservation can be cancelled up until 60 days before. After that, we would lose 50% of the total if we cancel out. (They will refund our money if the conditions are so bad that the caretaker can not reach the Cabin).

I will not ask for money until I have at least 10 folks signed up. Then I'll be asking for $70.00 to cover the 3 nights. Once you pay, you will not get your money back unless another person takes your place. If need be, I will set up a waiting list.

The cabin is heated and there is a more or less complete set of cooking implements. Bunk beds are provided. Everyone sleeps in 1 large room. Bring a *LIGHT* sleeping bag, or even just a blanket. It stays pretty warm in the cabin, especially up in the rafters. You must bring your own food. We may arrange some group cooking. Water is available less than 100 yards away.

Previous trips to Peggy O' and Grace Camp have been memorable, to say the least!

We are staying 4 days, 3 nights, as the hotel people would say. It's a total of 72 hours, noon to noon, to be precise.
