Skiied in on Gale River Rd and halfway up to Hut. Switched to snowshoes and broke trail with 3 others to AT. Continued on solo to hut through knee-deep snow. Twin Brook Trail difficult to follow with more deep snow. Lost trail (not planned) and slept out (planned) near Twin Brook itself. Followed brook down to Franconia Brook Trail, which was tracked out, and skiied to Lincoln Woods the next day. Felt like full-on winter in late December up high.
