Trail Conditions: About 6-8'' on the trail from the Loj to Marcy Dam, hard pack, icy. After the high water bridge there were a couple of water holes/washed out sections of the trail leading up to the turn-off for phelps. Crunchy snow all the way up..some iced over rock faces below the summit..about 2" of fresh snow ontop of ice/hard packed icey snow leading up to the summit and on the summit
Special equipment: Snowshoes were a big help..wouldn't have wanted to do it without them..there were some spots below the summit that demanded crampons/snowshoes to dig into the ice.
Comments: Real perdy ontop of the mt..pretty popular round marcy dam/phelps..we saw probably 30 people friday and sat
