A few weeks ago, I posted a few photos from the Big Island in a trip report in the TR forum. I finally got around to processing some more of the shots and posted a gallery. There are pix from Mauna Kea (state highpoint), Volcano Natl Park, and a few coastal shots. The gallery is at:

I wanted to jump off the cliffs and into the blue water.

Presumably that is the Kilauea Caldera? I went there on my honeymoon and hiked all around Volcano National Park. Kona coffee everywhere you look, big game fishing, mountains, what's not to enjoy there? (a 10 hour flight )
