Date of Hike: Mon. Feb. 14, 2011
Trails: Crawford Path, Webster Cliff Trail
Conditions: First, a thank you to Eric for posting his hike yesterday and another thank you for finding the trail. Crawford Path up to the Jct. with the Webster Cliff Trail was packed out. The trail over to Ike was filled in, but easy to follow and re-break. I barebooted to just passed the Mizpah Cutoff and switched to snowshoes for the remainder of the hike. Some crusted ice and snow on Ike and Pierce, but the snowshoes worked well. Mostly overcast, but once in awhile the sun would pop out, 50 mile visibility. Breezy on the ridge and summit, but not an issue, because of the mild temps. One other hiker to Pierce (I followed his snow shoe prints down), no one else over to Ike today. I did talk with a group at the Mizpah jct. on the way back. They were planning on staying at the tent sites tonight.
