Trail Conditions: Crawford Path in excellent shape - some muddy stretches between Pierce and Eisenhower, but otherwise just wonderful. Jewell was dry as can be, and an extremely pleasant trail to descend!

Special Equipment Required: Sunscreen, which of course, given my ever-so-slightly forgetful nature, I completely overlooked. I've got quite the sunburn, and my gaiters made for interesting tan (or rather, "burn") lines. :)

Comments: In all honesty, I could not have asked for a more perfect day. The Crawford Path is simply out of this world! I had the trail essentially to myself up until Eisenhower, but from that point onwards the crowds grew increasingly larger as I made my way towards Washington (which was an absolute zoo). However, I ran into lots of very friendly people on the summit which made things quite pleasant. This was my first time ascending Washington... best 4th July ever!
